This family includes proteins involved in lipopolysaccharide (lps) biosynthesis. This family comprises the whole length of chain length determinant protein (or wzz protein) that confers a modal distribution of chain length on the O-antigen component of lps [1]. This region is also found as part of bacterial tyrosine kinases such as Swiss:P38134.
