PF04803 Cor1/Xlr/Xmr conserved region coiled_coil

Cor1 is a component of the chromosome core in the meiotic prophase chromosomes [1]. Xlr is a lymphoid cell specific protein [2]. Xlm is abundantly transcribed in testis in a tissue-specific and developmentally regulated manner. The protein is located in the nuclei of spermatocytes, early in the prophase of the first meiotic division, and later becomes concentrated in the XY nuclear subregion where it is in particular associated with the axes of sex chromosomes [3].
