This family consists of a number of bacterial and phage proteins that function as gamma-PGA hydrolase enzymes [1]. Structurally the protein in this family adopted an open alpha/beta mixed core structure with a seven-stranded parallel/anti-parallel beta-sheet. This structure shows similarity to mammalian carboxypeptidase A and related enzymes.
