This family is the N-terminal region of avian adenovirus fibre proteins; the domain is frequently found repeated several times along the fibre. These fibres have been linked to variations in virulence [1]. Avian adenoviruses possess penton capsomers that consist of a pentameric base associated with two fibres [2].
