This family consists of several ribosome associated membrane protein RAMP4 (or SERP1) sequences. Stabilisation of membrane proteins in response to stress involves the concerted action of a rescue unit in the ER membrane comprised of SERP1/RAMP4, other components of the translocon, and molecular chaperones in the ER [1].
