| PF06925 | Monogalactosyldiacylglycerol (MGDG) synthase | family |
This family represents a conserved region of approximately 180 residues within plant and bacterial monogalactosyldiacylglycerol (MGDG) synthase (EC:2.4.1.46). In Arabidopsis, there are two types of MGDG synthase which differ in their N-terminal portion: type A and type B [1].
1: Two types of MGDG synthase genes, found widely in both 16:3 and 18:3 plants, differentially mediate galactolipid syntheses in photosynthetic and nonphotosynthetic tissues in Arabidopsis thaliana.
