| PF07063 | Domain of unknown function (DUF1338), C-terminal | domain |
This domain is found at the C-terminal of a variety of bacterial, fungal and some plants proteins. This domain has been found in proteins involved in D-lysine metabolism, such as Swiss:Q88CC1 which catalyses a successive decarboxylation and intramolecular hydroxylation of 2-oxoadipate forming 2-hydroxyglutarate in a Fe(II) and oxygen-dependent manner [1,2]. The structure of this domain has been solved (PDB:3iuz, PDB:6w1g].
