| PF07088 | GvpD gas vesicle protein, P-loop domain | domain |
This family consists of several archaeal GvpD gas vesicle regulatory proteins. GvpD is involved in the regulation of gas vesicle formation and functions as a repressor through the interaction and the breakdown induction of the transcriptional activator GvpE [1,2,3, 4,5]. This domain includes the P-loop and the basic region 1 (bR1, an arginine-rich region) which are essential for GvpD repressive function [3,4].
