This family consists of a group of sequences that are similar to a region of TfuA protein (Swiss:Q52872). This protein is involved in the production of trifolitoxin (TFX), an gene-encoded, post-translationally modified peptide antibiotic [1]. The role of TfuA in TFX synthesis is unknown, and it may be involved in other cellular processes [1].
