This family consists of the hefutoxins that are found in the venom of the scorpion Heterometrus fulvipes. These toxins, kappa-hefutoxin1 and kappa-hefutoxin2, exhibit no homology to any known toxins. The hefutoxins are potassium channel toxins [1].
