PF08234 Chromosome segregation protein Spc25 family

This is a family of chromosome segregation proteins. It contains Spc25, which is a conserved eukaryotic kinetochore protein involved in cell division. In fungi the Spc25 protein is a subunit of the Nuf2-Ndc80 complex [1], and in vertebrates it forms part of the Ndc80 complex [2].
