SKG6/Axl2 are membrane proteins that show polarised intracellular localisation [1]. SKG6_Tmem is the highly conserved transmembrane alpha-helical domain of SKG6 and Axl2 proteins [1], [2]. The full-length fungal protein has a negative regulatory function in cytokinesis [3].
