Rho Binding Domain is responsible for the recognition and binding of Rho binding domain-containing proteins (such as ROCK) to Rho, resulting in activation of the GTPase which in turn modulates the phosphorylation of various signalling proteins. This domain is within an amphipathic alpha-helical coiled-coil and interacts with Rho through predominantly hydrophobic interactions [1].
