This is a family of proteins that acts as a mitochondrial phosphatase in cardiolipin biosynthesis. Cardiolipin is a unique dimeric phosphoglycerolipid predominantly present in mitochondrial membranes. The inverted phosphatase motif includes the highly conserved DKD triad [1].
