Mitosin or centromere-associated protein-F (Cenp-F) is found bound across the centromere as one of the proteins of the outer layer of the kinetochore [1]. Most of the kinetochore/centromere functions appear to depend upon binding of the C-terminal par to f the molecule, whereas the N-terminal part, here, may be a cytoplasmic player in controlling the function of microtubules and dynein [2].
