| PF12457 | Tuftelin interacting protein N terminal | family |
This domain family is found in eukaryotes, and is typically between 99 and 114 amino acids in length. The family is found in association with Pfam:PF08697, Pfam:PF01585. There are two completely conserved residues (G and F) that may be functionally important. TIP is involved in enamel assembly by interacting with one of the major proteins responsible for biomineralisation of enamel - tuftelin.
