This domain family is found in eukaryotes, and is typically between 169 and 183 amino acids in length. The family is found in association with Pfam:PF02485. There is a single completely conserved residue G that may be functionally important. Xylosyltransferases are enzymes involved in the biosynthesis of the glycosaminoglycan linker region in proteoglycans.
