| PF14745 | WASH complex subunit 4, N-terminal | domain |
This entry is the conserved N-terminal region of proteins that form subunit 4 of the WASH complex, also known as subunit 7 or KIAA1033/SWIP [1]. In species such as Drosophila this protein is the only component of the 'complex'. This complex is present at the surface of endosomes that recruits and activates the Arp2/3 complex to induce actin polymerisation [2,3]. This domain comprises the WAHD1 and the TBR (tubulin-binding region) domains [2].
