| PF15099 | Phosphoinositide-interacting protein family | family |
The function of this family, PIRT, is not known, however it is predicted to be a multi-pass membrane protein. This family of proteins is thought to have a role in positively regulating TRPV1 channel activity via phosphatidylinositol 4,5-bisphosphate (PIP2). This family of proteins is found in eukaryotes. Proteins in this family are located in the cell membrane [1]. Proteins in this family are approximately 140 amino acids in length.
