| PF16546 | Homodimerisation domain of SGTA | domain |
SGTA_dimer is a short N-terminal domain at the start of SGTA or small glutamine-rich tetratricopeptide repeat-containing proteins. It is the homodimerisation domain of the SGTA, a heat-shock protein (HSP) co-chaperone involved in the targeting of tail-anchor membrane proteins to the endoplasmic reticulum. This N-terminal homodimerisation domain mediates the association with a single copy of Get4 or Get5 proteins, providing a link to the rest of the GET pathway [1].
