MBDa is a second MBD domain of Methyl-CpG-binding domain proteins. region implicated in binding the RbAp46/48 (retinoblastoma protein-associated protein) homologue p55, which is one of the components of the MBD2-NuRD complex. The MBD2-NuRD complex is a nucleosome remodelling and deacetylation complex [1].
