Clr2_transil is a domain carrying the first and second of three regions on Clr2 that are necessary for transcriptional silencing by the protein. Clr2 is a protein in the SHREC complex that is a crucial factor required for heterochromatin formation and it plays a major role in mating-type and rDNA silencing [1]. The third region is family Pfam:PF10383.
