| PF19437 | VCIP135 N-terminal | domain |
Deubiquitinating protein VCIP135 is required for the p97/p47 and p97/p37 pathways during Golgi biogenesis. It reverses ubiquitination events that occurs during mitotic disassembly, regulating Golgi membrane dynamics during mitosis. This entry represents the N-terminal domain of VCIP135 that interacts with the WW domain-containing adaptor with coiled coil (WAC) and increases its deubiquitinating activity, necessary only for p97/p47-mediated Golgi membrane fusion [1,2].
