This family of proteins is functionally uncharacterised. This family of proteins is found in bacteria. Proteins in this family are typically between 180 and 190 amino acids in length. These proteins are distantly related to the HMA domain Pfam:PF00403 particularly in the N-terminal half of the family. This family lacks the conserved pair of cysteines found in the HMA domain but does have an N-terminal conserved histidine that may fulfil a similar role.
