This family represents a central PRC-barrel domain in tRNA(5-methylaminomethyl-2-thiouridine)-methyltransferase which is involved in the biosynthesis of the modified nucleoside 5-methylaminomethyl-2-thiouridine present in the wobble position of some tRNAs [1].
