This entry represents a shadow ORF found on the opposite strand to Endonuclease NucS. Unlike most shadow ORFs this appears to be a genuine protein coding gene. A structural model suggests the protein has some similarity to the KH domain suggesting it may be an RNA-binding protein of unknown function. This family was formerly in the AntiFam database with accession ANF00096.
