| PF21147 | AMP-activated protein kinase, alpha subunit, autoinhibitory domain | domain |
This domain is found in the catalytic subunit (alpha) of the enzymatic complex AMP-activated protein kinase (AMPK). This protein is organised into an N-terminal kinase domain (KD, Pfam:PF00069) and a regulatory C-terminus, which contains an autoinhibitory domain (AID, this entry). This domain can form a compact domain that stabilizes the KD and binds to CBS-2 of the gamma-subunit [1-7].
