This domain is found in Small RNA 2'-O-methyltransferase from Arabidopsis thaliana (Hen1) and similar proteins from plants. Hen1 is a methyltransferase for miRNAs and all types of siRNAs, which protects these molecules from 3'-end uridylation and 3'-to-5' exonuclease-mediated degradation. This protein shows five structural domains, four of which directly interact with the RNA substrate. This entry represents one of these four domains: the La-motif-containing domain (LCD) [1].
