Mevalonate-3-kinase (M3K) is a mevalonate diphosphate decarboxylase (MDD) homologue from Thermoplasma acidophilum, which catalyses phosphorylation of (R)-mevalonate without concomitant decarboxylation [1]. This entry represents the C-terminal domain of M3K.
