Accession ID Name Pfam Type
PF21486 Nucleoporin NUP120, helical domain domain

This entry represents the helical domain of Nup120 from S. pombe referred to as the irregular helical bundle (IHB) [1,2], which makes extensive contacts with the propeller and helical bundle at the N-terminal. Nup120 functions as a component of the nuclear pore complex (NPC). Deletion of this gene causes clustering of NPCs at one side of the nuclear envelope, moderate nucleolar fragmentation and slower cell growth.
