Caenorhabditis elegans possesses three groups of neuropeptides designated as MRFamide-like peptide (FLP), insulin-like (INS), as well as neuropeptide-like proteins (NLP) [1]. The NLP family keeps expanding, but the function of most of the members is still unknown [2,3]. This family represents NLP-36 from C. elegans and related proteins.
