Comments
Nibrin is a component of the MRE11/RAD50/nibrin complex, which has well-defined DNA repair functions including DNA binding and nuclease activity when exposed to ionizing radiation. Nibrin has three NLSs and one NES located at 653-662, and has been shown to shuttle between the nucleus and the cytoplasm. Nibrin shuttling is required for normal cellular response to radiation.

User Input
Accurate identification of NESs is difficult because many sequences in the genome match the NES consensus. Therefore, some published NESs may be mistakenly identified. Please help us improve the accuracy of NESdb by providing either a positive or negative flag for the NES in this entry. Supporting comments are required to process the flag.
