Comments
RBCK1 is a RING-IBR protein with both transcriptional and ubiquitin ligas activities. RBCK1 can be found in both the nucleus and the cytoplasm. The N-terminal of RBCK1 was shown to possess a NES and the C-terminal has the nuclear import function, although no classical NLS was identified. When in the nucleus, RBCK1 was shown to interact with proteins in the nuclear bodies (PML and CBP).

Accurate identification of NESs is difficult because many sequences in the genome match the NES consensus. Therefore, some published NESs may be mistakenly identified. Please help us improve the accuracy of NESdb by providing either a positive or negative flag for the NES in this entry. Supporting comments are required to process the flag.
