Comments
DARPP32 is a prominent mediator of dopmaine signaling in the striatum. Stipanowich et al. showed that when in the nucleus, DARPP32, a potent inhibitor of protein phosphotase-1, can promote the phosphorylation of histone H3. DAPRR32 actively shuttles between the nucleus and the cytoplasm. The export is enhanced by phosphorylation of S97, which can be controlled by dopmain D1 receptor and cAMP.

User Input
Accurate identification of NESs is difficult because many sequences in the genome match the NES consensus.
Therefore, some published NESs may be mistakenly identified. Please help us improve the accuracy of NESdb
by providing either a positive or negative flag for the NES in this entry. Supporting comments are required to process the flag.
