Comments
Wee1-mediated Y15 phosphorylation of cyclin B/Cdk1 complexes is a fundamental constraint on mitotic entry in eukaryotes. Wee1 possesses four RXL motifs, found in many cyclin A substrates. One of the RXL motif, RXL1 is embedded in a NES. However, mutation within NES causing nuclear accumulation does not seem to affect Wee1 function in mitosis control.

User Input
Accurate identification of NESs is difficult because many sequences in the genome match the NES consensus. Therefore, some published NESs may be mistakenly identified. Please help us improve the accuracy of NESdb by providing either a positive or negative flag for the NES in this entry. Supporting comments are required to process the flag.
