Comments
Chibby is a highly conserved protein that directly interacts with the C-terminal activation domain of β-catenin. Li et al. showed here that Chibby is a nuclear-cytoplasmic shuttling protein with a classic NLS at 123-126 and one NES at 21-29. The efficient export of Chibby requires protein 14-3-3. Note that amino acids 90-99 resembles NES. But mutations have no effect on export.

User Input
Accurate identification of NESs is difficult because many sequences in the genome match the NES consensus. Therefore, some published NESs may be mistakenly identified. Please help us improve the accuracy of NESdb by providing either a positive or negative flag for the NES in this entry. Supporting comments are required to process the flag.
