Comments
Eps15 is a member of the EH domain containing proteins associated with clathrin-coated pits. Eps15 is tyrosine-phosphorylated in response to several growth factors and may be involved in signal transduction and transcription regulation. Poupon et al. showed that aa 766-896is sufficient to export GFP and aa 890-896 are necessary. LMB treatment can cause nuclear accumulation. But the process of nuclear entry is slow, possibly due to the masking of NLS by the c-terminal coiled-coil domain required for oligomerization.

User Input
Accurate identification of NESs is difficult because many sequences in the genome match the NES consensus. Therefore, some published NESs may be mistakenly identified. Please help us improve the accuracy of NESdb by providing either a positive or negative flag for the NES in this entry. Supporting comments are required to process the flag.
