Comments
Poly(ADP-ribose) polymerases-10 (PARP-10) has NAD(+)-dependent PARP activity and shuffles between nuclear and cytoplasmis compartments. PARP-10 regulates gene transcription by altering chromatin organization by adding ADP-ribose to histones, and it associates with oncogene c-MYC to function as transcriptional cofactor.PARP-10 may be involved in cellular proliferation, and play a role in cell cycle progression. In a recent 2012 publication, PARP-10 has found to be in cytoplasmic bodies that are linked to the autophagy system by interaction with p62/SQSTM1 (Kleine et al., 2012)

User Input
Accurate identification of NESs is difficult because many sequences in the genome match the NES consensus. Therefore, some published NESs may be mistakenly identified. Please help us improve the accuracy of NESdb by providing either a positive or negative flag for the NES in this entry. Supporting comments are required to process the flag.
