Comments
PfARO is a novel protein with Armadillo repeats like beta-catenin. Mitra et al. found that PfARO is spatiotemporally regulated and can be found in both nucleus and the cytosol at the apical pole at different stages of development. LMB causes nuclear accumulation of PfARO at all stages. However, putative NES identified is within the ARM repeat (residues 198-204) and hydrophobic side chains are buried. No further validation of the putative NES has been performed.

User Input
Accurate identification of NESs is difficult because many sequences in the genome match the NES consensus. Therefore, some published NESs may be mistakenly identified. Please help us improve the accuracy of NESdb by providing either a positive or negative flag for the NES in this entry. Supporting comments are required to process the flag.
