Comments
Zfp36l3 belongs to TTP family of small RNA binding proteins. Gingerich et al. found that both tagged and untagged Zfp36l3 from Peromyscus maniculatus are LMB-sensitive. This behavior is not conserved in mouse Zfp36l3. Putative NES was identified in residue 300-309 which matches partially a traditional NES consensus. Upon inspection, it is possible that this is a class 3 NES or a reverse NES.

User Input
Accurate identification of NESs is difficult because many sequences in the genome match the NES consensus. Therefore, some published NESs may be mistakenly identified. Please help us improve the accuracy of NESdb by providing either a positive or negative flag for the NES in this entry. Supporting comments are required to process the flag.
