Comments
HPV E7 proteins are responsible for driving cell cycle reentry in host cells for viral replication. This entry is related to HPV16 E7 (#114) and HPV11 E7 (#290). Conserved in the other two E7 homologs, putative NES can be found in the Zinc finger domain spanning 76-84, which matches traditional consensus. C-terminal of the protein (43-103) is RJA sensitive (similar to LMB) when the NLS is weakened by C60A/C91A mutations located also in the Zinc finger domain. CRM1 interaction with full length E7 and zinc-finger domain was shown using co-IP with cellular lysates.

User Input
Accurate identification of NESs is difficult because many sequences in the genome match the NES consensus.
Therefore, some published NESs may be mistakenly identified. Please help us improve the accuracy of NESdb
by providing either a positive or negative flag for the NES in this entry. Supporting comments are required to process the flag.
