ANKHD1 is a predominantly cytoplasmic protein from the Mask family of proteins which functions in regulation of cell growth and cell cycle progression. Dhyani et al. reported that LMB treatment caused increased nuclear accumulation of ANKHD1, but the effect is very mild based on the published image. No putative NES have been identified. Ref.1ANKHD1 Represses p21 (WAF1/CIP1) Promoter and Promotes Multiple Myeloma Cell Growth, Dhyani et al., Eur J Cancer, 2015

Accurate identification of NESs is difficult because many sequences in the genome match the NES consensus.
Therefore, some published NESs may be mistakenly identified. Please help us improve the accuracy of NESdb
by providing either a positive or negative flag for the NES in this entry. Supporting comments are required to process the flag.
