Comments
CRTC1 is the transcriptional coactivator for CREB1 in the SIK/TORC signaling pathway. A putative NESs was identified by in silico prediction methods in Sendino et al. using possible XPO1/CRM1-cancer exportome proteins identified previously as putative CRM1-binders by Kirli et al. (not all proteins were validated in full-length). This NESs was tested using Rev(1.4)-GFP assay which showed weak activity. It was however not tested in SRVB/A reporter with co-expression with CRM1, and therefore, no CRM1-dependency has been clearly demonstrated. User Input
Accurate identification of NESs is difficult because many sequences in the genome match the NES consensus. Therefore, some published NESs may be mistakenly identified. Please help us improve the accuracy of NESdb by providing either a positive or negative flag for the NES in this entry. Supporting comments are required to process the flag.
