Comments
NS5 of West Nile virus is residues 2529-3433 of the genome polyprotein. It is the largest protein crucial for virus replication. Dengue Virus NS5 is in entry 78. Lopez-Denman et al. reported that West Nile Virus NS5 is also a nucleocytoplasmic trafficking protein and that LMB caused nuclear accumulation of the protein. The NES have not been identified yet. Note: Sequence analysis links in this entry refer to the entire uniprot entry which include other proteins within the genome polyprotein. User Input
Accurate identification of NESs is difficult because many sequences in the genome match the NES consensus. Therefore, some published NESs may be mistakenly identified. Please help us improve the accuracy of NESdb by providing either a positive or negative flag for the NES in this entry. Supporting comments are required to process the flag.
