>gnl|CDD|218122 pfam04515, Choline_transpo, Plasma-membrane choline transporter.
This family represents a high-affinity plasma-membrane
choline transporter in C.elegans which is thought to be
rate-limiting for ACh synthesis in cholinergic nerve
terminals.

>gnl|CDD|234194 TIGR03389, laccase, laccase, plant. Members of this protein family
include the copper-containing enzyme laccase (EC
1.10.3.2), often several from a single plant species,
and additional, uncharacterized, closely related plant
proteins termed laccase-like multicopper oxidases. This
protein family shows considerable sequence similarity to
the L-ascorbate oxidase (EC 1.10.3.3) family. Laccases
are enzymes of rather broad specificity, and
classification of all proteins scoring about the trusted
cutoff of this model as laccases may be appropriate.

>gnl|CDD|185680 cd02165, NMNAT, Nicotinamide/nicotinate mononucleotide
adenylyltransferase. Nicotinamide/nicotinate
mononucleotide (NMN/ NaMN)adenylyltransferase (NMNAT).
NMNAT represents the primary bacterial and eukaryotic
adenylyltransferases for nicotinamide-nucleotide and for
the deamido form, nicotinate nucleotide. It is an
indispensable enzyme in the biosynthesis of NAD(+) and
NADP(+). Nicotinamide-nucleotide adenylyltransferase
synthesizes NAD via the salvage pathway, while
nicotinate-nucleotide adenylyltransferase synthesizes
the immediate precursor of NAD via the de novo pathway.
Human NMNAT displays unique dual substrate specificity
toward both NMN and NaMN, and can participate in both de
novo and salvage pathways of NAD synthesis.

>gnl|CDD|234092 TIGR03023, WcaJ_sugtrans, Undecaprenyl-phosphate glucose
phosphotransferase. This family of proteins encompasses
the E. coli WcaJ protein involved in colanic acid
biosynthesis , the Methylobacillus EpsB protein involved
in methanolan biosynthesis , as well as the GumD protein
involved in the biosynthesis of xanthan. All of these
are closely related to the well-characterized WbaP
(formerly RfbP) protein which is the first enzyme in
O-antigen biosynthesis in Salmonella typhimurium. The
enzyme transfers galactose from UDP-galactose (NOTE: not
glucose) to a polyprenyl carrier (utilizing the highly
conserved C-terminal sugar transferase domain,
pfam02397) a reaction which takes place at the
cytoplasmic face of the inner membrane. The N-terminal
hydrophobic domain is then believed to facilitate the
"flippase" function of transferring the liposaccharide
unit from the cytoplasmic face to the periplasmic face
of the inner membrane. Most of these genes are found
within large operons dedicated to the production of
complex exopolysaccharides such as the enterobacterial
O-antigen. Colanic acid biosynthesis utilizes a
glucose-undecaprenyl carrier , knockout of EpsB
abolishes incorporation of UDP-glucose into the lipid
phase and the C-terminal portion of GumD has been shown
to be responsible for the glucosyl-1-transferase
activity.

>gnl|CDD|238578 cd01173, pyridoxal_pyridoxamine_kinase, Pyridoxal kinase plays a
key role in the synthesis of the active coenzyme
pyridoxal-5'-phosphate (PLP), by catalyzing the
phosphorylation of the precursor vitamin B6 in the
presence of Zn2+ and ATP. Mammals are unable to
synthesize PLP de novo and require its precursors in the
form of vitamin B6 (pyridoxal, pyridoxine, and
pyridoxamine) from their diet. Pyridoxal kinase encoding
genes are also found in many other species including
yeast and bacteria.
