active site signature motif, HCSAGxGRxG. Characterized
as either transmembrane, receptor-like or
non-transmembrane (soluble) PTPs. Receptor-like PTP
domains tend to occur in two copies in the cytoplasmic
region of the transmembrane proteins, only one copy may
be active.
