In addition to these proteins, capsular polysaccharide exporter systems require two 'accessory' proteins to perform their function: a periplasmic (E.coli) or a lipid-anchored outer membrane protein called OMA (Neisseria meningitidis and Haemophilus influenzae) and a cytoplasmic membrane protein MPA2.
