>cd01995 ExsB ExsB is a transcription regulator related protein. It is a subfamily of a Adenosine nucleotide binding superfamily of proteins. This protein family is represented by a single member in nearly every completed large ( 1000 genes) prokaryotic genome. In Rhizobium meliloti, a species in which the exo genes make succinoglycan, a symbiotically important exopolysaccharide, exsB is located nearby and affects succinoglycan levels, probably through polar effects on exsA expression or the same polycistronic mRNA. In Arthrobacter viscosus, the homologous gene is designated ALU1 and is associated with an aluminum tolerance phenotype. The function is unknown
