>gnl|CDD|147487 pfam05326, SVA, Seminal vesicle autoantigen (SVA). This family
consists of seminal vesicle autoantigen and
prolactin-inducible (PIP) proteins. Seminal vesicle
autoantigen (SVA) is specifically present in the
seminal plasma of mice. This 19-kDa secretory
glycoprotein suppresses the motility of spermatozoa by
interacting with phospholipid. PIP, has several known
functions. In saliva, this protein plays a role in host
defence by binding to microorganisms such as
Streptococcus. PIP is an aspartyl proteinase and it
acts as a factor capable of suppressing T-cell
apoptosis through its interaction with CD4.

>gnl|CDD|143384 cd07879, STKc_p38delta_MAPK13, Catalytic domain of the
Serine/Threonine Kinase, p38delta Mitogen-Activated
Protein Kinase. Serine/Threonine Kinases (STKs),
p38delta subfamily, catalytic (c) domain. STKs catalyze
the transfer of the gamma-phosphoryl group from ATP to
serine/threonine residues on protein substrates. The
p38delta subfamily is part of a larger superfamily that
includes the catalytic domains of other protein STKs,
protein tyrosine kinases, RIO kinases, aminoglycoside
phosphotransferase, choline kinase, and phosphoinositide
3-kinase. p38 kinases are mitogen-activated protein
kinases (MAPKs), serving as important mediators of
cellular responses to extracellular signals. They are
activated by the MAPK kinases MKK3 and MKK6, which in
turn are activated by upstream MAPK kinase kinases
including TAK1, ASK1, and MLK3, in response to cellular
stresses or inflammatory cytokines. Vertebrates contain
four isoforms of p38, named alpha, beta, gamma, and
delta. p38delta, also called MAPK13, is found in
skeletal muscle, heart, lung, testis, pancreas, and
small intestine. It regulates microtubule function by
phosphorylating Tau. It activates the c-jun promoter and
plays a role in G2 cell cycle arrest. It also controls
the degration of c-Myb, which is associated with myeloid
leukemia and poor prognosis in colorectal cancer.
p38delta is the main isoform involved in regulating the
differentiation and apoptosis of keratinocytes.

>gnl|CDD|147024 pfam04664, OGFr_N, Opioid growth factor receptor (OGFr) conserved
region. Opioid peptides act as growth factors in neural
and non-neural cells and tissues, in addition to serving
in neurotransmission/neuromodulation in the nervous
system. The Opioid growth factor receptor is an integral
membrane protein associated with the nucleus. The
conserved region is situated at the N-terminus of the
member proteins with a series of imperfect repeats lying
immediately to its C-terminus.

>gnl|CDD|73003 cd03244, ABCC_MRP_domain2, Domain 2 of the ABC subfamily C. This
family is also known as MRP (mulrtidrug
resisitance-associated protein). Some of the MRP
members have five additional transmembrane segments in
their N-terminus, but the function of these additional
membrane-spanning domains is not clear. The MRP was
found in the multidrug-resistance lung cancer cell in
which p-glycoprotein was not overexpressed. MRP exports
glutathione by drug stimulation, as well as, certain
substrates in conjugated forms with anions, such as
glutathione, glucuronate, and sulfate..
